Its with great pleasure we introduce Mark Forshaw as our latest member of the Council House family. His recent track “Designer” released on our Acid Sampler has been getting some serious attention from track heads far and wide. Mark is a fellow hardware freak with an impressive collection of vintage analog synths and dusty drum machines. It is these old, gritty machines that give Mark’s productions their sound. When making music he tries to capture the feel of the moment rather than perfection. He has always preferred music to have a rawness and likes to keep computer use to a minimum, often recording performances live and leaving the imperfections in place.
Liverpool born Mark Forshaw has been involved in the local music scene since the mid 90′s. He has gained a reputation locally as a serious vinyl junkie and has played many DJ sets at some of the city’s best known house and techno club nights including Voodoo and T-Funkshun. He has played alongside many of his musical heroes including Derrick May, Dan Bell, Anthony Shakir, Suburban Knight, Rolando, Kenny Larkin, Mike Grant, Larry Heard, Terrence Parker, Baby Ford..
